5-Star Beach Resort · Non Nuoc Beach · Da Nang
Meliá Da Nang Beach Review
The Meliá sits on Non Nuoc Beach in Ngu Hanh Son — seven pools, a private beach, the Marble Mountains as a backdrop, and The Level premium tier at rates that undercut most five-star neighbours on the same stretch.
The Meliá Danang Beach Resort is on Non Nuoc Beach in Ngu Hanh Son district at 19 Truong Sa Street — about 15km south of Da Nang city centre, in the same resort corridor as Naman Retreat and TIA Wellness Resort. This is not a My Khe property. The Non Nuoc beach here is wider, quieter, and cleaner than the My Khe strip closer to town.
The Meliá’s standout feature for the price is scale: seven outdoor pools, a private beach, YHI Spa, and over 500 rooms give it a full-resort footprint that competes with properties charging significantly more. The Level — Meliá’s premium service tier — offers exclusive pool access, bespoke breakfast, and afternoon cocktail hours for an upgrade that many guests find worthwhile.
The Non Nuoc location means the Marble Mountains are a 5-minute drive and Hoi An is 20 minutes south. City dining requires a Grab (80,000–120,000 VND each way). The beach is the resort’s best asset — genuinely one of the better stretches in Da Nang.
Location & Getting There
19 Truong Sa Street, Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District — Non Nuoc Beach, approximately 15km south of Da Nang city centre. The Meliá sits in the same southern resort corridor as Naman Retreat. The Marble Mountains are a 5-minute drive north. Hoi An is 20 minutes south.
Airport transfer runs 20–25 minutes. City dining requires a Grab (80,000–120,000 VND each way). Non Nuoc beach here is wide, well-maintained, and significantly quieter than the My Khe strip.
The Rooms
Contemporary design, clean and well-maintained. Standard rooms run 42–48sqm — not the biggest on the strip but well laid out with no wasted space. Upper-floor sea-facing rooms have good ocean views and the sunrise from the balcony is worth setting an early alarm for once. Blackout curtains work. Bathrooms are modern. The minibar is hotel-priced (buy beer from the 7-Eleven 400m north).
Rates from around $100–130/night make this one of the more accessible options for My Khe beachfront. The quality-to-price ratio is strong for what you're getting.
Pool, Beach & Facilities
The main pool is the visual centrepiece — a curved infinity design facing the ocean with actual room to move in it. A secondary pool for families provides overflow. Beach access is direct with lounger and umbrella service. The beach here is good for swimming in most months; seasonal current warnings go up from July, same as the rest of My Khe. YHI Spa operates competently with good Vietnamese massage specialists.
Food & Drink
El Olivo is the main restaurant and breakfast is a genuine strength — one of the better hotel breakfast spreads in the mid-tier Da Nang market. Good Vietnamese and Western options, solid coffee, attentive service. Dinner menus are competent but my honest recommendation is to use the An Thuong proximity properly: Nen, Luna Pub, and Madame Lan's are all 10 minutes away and more interesting than anything the hotel kitchen produces in the evenings.
Consistently solid and often underrated on the My Khe strip. The pool, location, and service quality all deliver at above the price point. If the Sheraton or Marriott are out of budget, this is where the value lands.
The Good Stuff
- Infinity pool design is among the more attractive on My Khe — and it's a proper size
- Warmer service atmosphere than the large resort properties
- An Thuong dining proximity transforms evening options
- YHI Spa delivers good treatment quality
- Strong value for beachfront My Khe access
Worth Knowing
- My Khe weekends get crowded — the local beach culture adds noise in the mornings
- Rooms are slightly smaller than the five-star resort tier
- In-house dinner dining doesn't particularly compete with the neighbourhood
Who Should Stay Here
Mid-range travellers who want a proper beach hotel without resort-tier pricing. Couples who plan to mix beach time with city exploration. Good for stays of 3–5 nights.
