WaterparkFamiliesJapanese OnsenAll-Inclusive Vibe

If you're spending an extended stretch in Da Nang and need a reset — a full staycation within your own vacation — the Mikazuki is where you go. The infinity pool at sunrise looks like something lifted from a Phuket high-rise: glassy, dramatic, with views across the bay that make you feel genuinely somewhere else. The restaurant terrace and pool bar carry that same energy. This isn't the Da Nang beach hotel you checked into — it feels like a different city entirely. The Mikazuki is a Japanese-developed resort concept and the design reflects it: clean lines, minimalist signage, a cultural coherence that separates it from the generic 'theme resort' category. The onsen facility — proper Japanese hot spring bathing — is unusual anywhere in Vietnam and genuinely well executed. For families it earns a straight five stars. The waterpark is the best in Vietnam by scale — a lazy river that dwarfs anything at the Non Nuoc five-stars, a wave pool drawing adults as hard as kids, and slides for every age and confidence level. Mom and dad get the spa and the infinity pool. The kids don't stop moving for three days. Everyone wins. The honest caveat: the main restaurant situation is the weak point. Dining on-property leans heavily toward buffets and hotpots that are overpriced relative to the quality — not the place to come if authentic Vietnamese cuisine is a priority. The exception is the pool and bar menu, which punches well above resort expectations. Pizzas and burgers are genuinely good, cocktails are strong, and the views make everything taste better.

Location & Getting There

About 18km south of Da Nang city center, beyond the Non Nuoc resort cluster. Genuinely remote by Da Nang standards. The beach in front of the resort is calm and uncrowded at this southern position. City dining or sightseeing requires real taxi budget and 30 minutes each way. There are no local restaurants or convenience stores within easy reach. Know this going in — for the right trip profile it's not a problem; for any other profile it will frustrate you.

The Rooms

Categories range from standard hotel rooms to family apartments and Japanese-styled suites. The Japanese design influence is genuine and well-executed — clean proportions, shoji-screen detailing, natural materials. Family rooms are large and properly configured for parents with children. The sizing makes extended stays comfortable. Rates from around $120–150/night, sometimes including waterpark access in the rate (verify at booking).

Pool, Beach & Facilities

The waterpark is the point: multiple pools, slides for different ages and courage levels, a wave pool, and a lazy river that puts every comparable lazy river in Da Nang to shame on scale. Hot spring bathing area (Japanese onsen concept) is a genuine adult-only relaxation facility. Beach access is direct and quiet. The overall scale means you can spend 3–4 full days on-site without running out of things to do if the waterpark concept is working for your group.

Food & Drink

Multiple restaurants including Japanese, Vietnamese, and international options. The ramen and Japanese dining options are among the better Japanese food available in the Da Nang area — a genuine highlight at a city where Japanese restaurant quality is variable. Food quality is solid throughout and pricing is reasonable relative to the resort scale.

One of the most distinctive family accommodation options in Vietnam. If a waterpark-centerd holiday is what you want, Mikazuki is the correct choice and it's not close. If it's not, there are much better-located properties in Da Nang.

Who Should Stay Here

Families wanting a resort-within-a-resort experience — the waterpark keeps kids happy all day while parents have the spa, the infinity pool, and a genuinely relaxing stay. Ideal for anyone on a longer Da Nang trip who wants a two or three night reset that feels like a completely different holiday. Also strong for couples who want the infinity pool, the onsen, and the views without the family resort noise of the bigger Non Nuoc properties.
