Da Nang Hotel Guide is an independent travel publication written by Ryan Yousefi, an American journalist and expat who has lived in Da Nang since 2023. This page explains how we produce content, how we make recommendations, how we handle affiliate relationships, and how we maintain editorial independence.

Who We Are

Da Nang Hotel Guide is operated by Ryan Yousefi, based in Da Nang, Vietnam. Ryan has over 20 years of journalism experience spanning food and hospitality, sports, healthcare communications, and hotel operations management in Florida. His wife is Vietnamese, and his family lives in Da Nang full-time. This site is not a media company's SEO project — it is a working journalist's honest account of a city he knows from daily life.

Editorial Independence

All editorial content — hotel rankings, area recommendations, dining picks, itinerary advice — is produced independently without payment or direction from hotels, tourism boards, airlines, or third parties.

We do not accept free hotel stays in exchange for coverage.
We do not accept payment to improve a hotel's ranking or editorial positioning.
We do not publish sponsored hotel reviews that are presented as independent editorial opinion without disclosure.
Hotels are ranked based on our editorial assessment of quality, value, location, and suitability for specific traveler types — not on commission rates.

Affiliate disclosure: This site earns a commission from Booking.com when a reader completes a booking through our links, at no extra cost to the reader. This commission has no influence on editorial rankings. We have ranked hotels we earn less from above hotels we earn more from, and that will continue.

How Hotel Recommendations Are Made

Location accuracy: We verify "beachfront" claims, walkability, and proximity to landmarks — not from the hotel website, but from maps and visitor reports.
Value assessment: Hotels are evaluated at their current booking price. A hotel that was good value at $80 in 2021 may not be good value at $130 in 2026.
Who it suits: Every hotel recommendation includes a clear statement of who the property is right for — and who it is not right for.
Honest trade-offs: If a hotel has consistent weaknesses — road noise, poor Wi-Fi, slow service — we say so directly.
Update frequency: Hotels are reassessed when significant changes occur (ownership, renovation, reported quality decline) and reviewed at minimum annually.

Research Standards

Content on this site is based on:

Personal visits to hotels and destinations where possible
Direct analysis of current booking prices and availability data
Pattern analysis of guest review data across multiple platforms
Local knowledge from living in Da Nang across multiple seasons
Direct contact with hotels for factual verification

When we have not personally visited a property, we say so and note the basis for our assessment.

Corrections Policy

We correct errors promptly when they are identified. If you believe information on this site is inaccurate, please contact us at dananghotelguide@gmail.com with the page URL and specific claim. We will investigate and correct verified errors within 5 business days.

Content Updates

Hotel prices, opening hours, amenities, and travel conditions change. We review and update our most-read pages regularly. The "last updated" date shown on each guide reflects the most recent editorial review. We update hotel pricing data approximately quarterly and full page content annually or when significant changes occur.

Advertising and Sponsored Content

This site does not currently display display advertising from third-party ad networks on editorial pages. We are seeking approval from Google AdSense. If and when display ads are added, they will appear in clearly designated areas and will not influence editorial content.

Any sponsored or partnership content that may be published in the future will be disclosed clearly and conspicuously at the top of that content. Sponsored content will never be disguised as independent editorial.
