The Location Does Most of the Work
The Novotel Danang Premier stands on the Han River, directly opposite Dragon Bridge. On Friday and Saturday nights, the Bridge breathes fire — you can watch it from the hotel.
The airport is 3 km away and 8 minutes by Grab, which is the shortest airport transfer of any quality hotel in Da Nang. Han Market is 10 minutes on foot.
The street food scene on Bach Dang and the surrounding riverside streets is as good as anything in the city and walkable from the front door.
What the Novotel is not: a beach hotel. My Khe Beach is 10 minutes by Grab.
That trip is cheap and easy, but this hotel rewards guests who want to explore Da Nang properly — museums, food markets, river walks, Dragon Bridge — not guests whose entire holiday centres on time in the water.
The Rooms
39 floors, 323 rooms. Upper floors facing the river give you Dragon Bridge in the frame, the Han River below, and on clear days a glimpse of the coast beyond.
These views are the main room selling point — genuinely good, not a brochure approximation. Rooms are 30-40 square metres, compact but efficiently designed.
The Premier Floor rooms add a business lounge with complimentary breakfast and evening canapes, which changes the value equation notably for business travellers and longer stays.
Design is contemporary and clean without being distinctive. Bathrooms are functional.
Street noise on the lower river-facing floors is real at night.
The Rooftop Pool
City skyline, Han River, distant sea on clear days. The pool is small — nothing like a beach resort scale — but the view is among the best from any hotel pool in Da Nang's city centre.
There's a rooftop bar alongside it. You go up here for the view, not to swim serious laps.
Breakfast and Eating
The Square Restaurant runs a buffet. Vietnamese pho and noodle stations, a good banh mi setup, Western options, fruit.
It's a solid hotel breakfast — not the best in the city, but entirely competent. Most guests end up eating outside the hotel for dinner because there are genuinely excellent options within a five-minute walk: seafood restaurants along the riverfront, noodle shops, coffee shops.
The location does the work that on-site restaurants at resort hotels have to compensate for.
What to Know Before You Book
This is a city hotel, full stop. If you're building a trip around the beach, you'll find the Novotel's location inconvenient.
If you're doing a city-focused trip — street food, Dragon Bridge on a weekend night, Han Market, day trip to Hoi An, museum circuit — the Novotel removes essentially all logistical friction and costs less than beach resort alternatives. Accor ALL members earn points here at a property quality level where the math makes sense.
Airport is 3 km. That alone makes the Novotel worth considering for late arrivals or early departures.
- 3 km from airport — the fastest transfer of any quality Da Nang hotel
- Dragon Bridge a 5-minute walk; Han Market 10 minutes on foot
- Street food and restaurant scene immediately walkable from the front door
- Rooftop pool with city and river views
- Accor ALL loyalty value
- Rates competitive for central location and room quality
- Not a beach hotel — My Khe Beach is 10 min by Grab
- Rooms smaller than resort alternatives at similar price points
- Pool compact; the view is the point, not the swimming experience
- Lower river-facing floors get street noise at night
Would I Stay Again?
For a city trip, yes, specifically for the airport proximity and the location relative to Da Nang's food scene. Three kilometres from the airport is a fact that improves every single trip.
When the alternative is a 20-minute taxi from a beach resort, the convenience compounds across an entire stay. If the goal is city exploration and good eating, the Novotel is one of Da Nang's clearest value propositions.

Is the Novotel Danang Premier Han River Worth It?
For city-focused travellers, yes. The Novotel Danang Premier Han River is the best city-centre hotel option in Da Nang for most mid-to-upper budget travellers, its position on the Han River gives it views that rival much more expensive properties, and the proximity to Dragon Bridge, restaurants, and cultural sites makes it the most practical base for exploring Da Nang's non-beach attractions.
The trade-off is clear: no beach. If beach access is essential to your stay, look at My Khe Beach properties instead.
If you want to experience Da Nang as a city, the food, the bridges, the markets, the Novotel Han River is the logical starting point and represents strong value.
