The Detail About the Coffee
The TMS Hotel is the only hotel I stayed at in Da Nang that doesn't charge extra for espresso at breakfast. Americano, latte, cappuccino — included.
Every other hotel either charges separately or puts a machine in the corner and calls it complimentary. At TMS, a server brings it to the table.
This is a small thing, but it's a specific thing, and it's the kind of detail that tells you something about how a hotel thinks about its guests.
The breakfast buffet itself rotates daily — hot dishes change, local specialties vary, you're not eating the same spread on day four as day one. Multiple guests call this the best breakfast they've had on My Khe Beach at any price point.
It's included in most rate packages.
The Rooftop Pool
The infinity pool on the roof is the main attraction beyond the breakfast. Good view, atmospheric in the evening, photographically pleasing.
On busy days it gets crowded — it's not a large pool, and the hotel has 155 rooms. The rooftop bar runs alongside it with cocktails and snacks.
The view from the top at sunset over My Khe Beach is one of those things that makes a mid-range hotel feel like it punches above its rate.
One honest complaint: road noise from below is audible from the rooftop bar on the first night for some upper-floor guests. It settles after the first evening, or you stop noticing it.
The Rooms
Upper-floor ocean-view rooms deliver views that are genuinely worth the slight premium. Rooms are 30-38 square metres — not large, but clean and maintained consistently.
One guest arrived to find a refrigerator that wasn't working; it was replaced within five minutes. Staff responsiveness is the consistent positive in maintenance reviews.
One guest found what they described as a bloodstain on a wall, which is obviously unacceptable and worth flagging on arrival. Hotels of this scale have variation; the response when things are flagged seems reliable.
The Beach
Direct My Khe Beach access — the hotel's strongest asset for its price point. No road crossing, no shuttle, no secondary pool that substitutes for sand.
Sun lounger and umbrella service directly in front. The My Khe seafood restaurant strip runs within 2-5 minutes in either direction, which means most evenings you're eating fresh grilled fish and drinking Saigon beer at 30% of what an on-site restaurant would cost.
The math on a week here is compelling.
What to Know Before You Book
Airport is 12 minutes. Dragon Bridge is 12 minutes by Grab.
Hoi An is 30 minutes south. TMS doesn't have resort infrastructure — there's no kids' club, no extensive spa, no multiple restaurant formats.
What it has is a good beach, a good breakfast, a rooftop pool with a good view, and staff who fix things quickly when they need fixing. If those four things are sufficient for your trip, TMS is hard to beat at its price point.
- Free espresso at breakfast — the only hotel on My Khe that does this
- Breakfast buffet rotates daily and is genuinely well-regarded
- Rooftop infinity pool with genuine My Khe Beach views
- Direct beachfront access — no road, no shuttle
- Staff responsive to maintenance issues
- Seafood restaurant strip 2-5 min walk in either direction
- Rooftop pool gets crowded at peak times — not a resort pool

Would I Stay Again?
Yes, for the value. The free espresso, the rotating breakfast, the rooftop view, the direct beach access — TMS over-delivers on the things it actually does well.
I'd pay the rate, eat at the hotel every morning, then walk to the seafood grills every evening, and come out significantly ahead of what a five-star alternative would cost. For that kind of trip, TMS is the most honest value calculation on My Khe Beach.

Is TMS Hotel Danang Beach Worth It?
TMS Hotel Danang Beach is one of the best value propositions on My Khe Beach, it delivers direct beachfront access, a decent pool, and consistent mid-range comfort at rates that undercut most international branded properties by a meaningful margin. It won't compete with the Hyatt Regency or Sheraton Grand on room quality or facilities depth, and that is not the point.
The point is: clean, well-located beachfront accommodation with good service, a useful family setup, and walking distance to the My Khe restaurant strip. For budget-to-midscale travellers who want to be on the beach without paying resort hotel rates, TMS is a reliable and consistently recommended choice.
