What You Should Know First

Wyndham Soleil Danang opened recently and already has a notable cluster of maintenance complaints in its reviews — mold on bathroom shutters, dirty grouting, guests needing room changes on arrival. These are serious concerns for a new building that should be clean without effort.

I'd advise checking current reviews before booking to see if this pattern persists, and if you arrive to find a room with mold, request a change immediately and ask for a written confirmation of the swap. Staff have been described as excellent and responsive when issues are raised; the building quality is the concern, not the team.

With that said: the upper-floor views from the 34th floor are genuinely striking, the staff consistently earn the warmest descriptions in guest reviews, and the beach is a minute's walk. There is a legitimate hotel here.

It just requires clear eyes about what you might find.

The Views (From the Rooms That Work)

The 34-floor tower gives good return on height. Two-bedroom family suites on the 34th floor have ocean views from every room and a balcony that looks out over My Khe Beach and the city skyline together.

On clear mornings you can watch the sunrise from bed. The sunrise from a high floor here has been described as one of the best things guests experienced in Da Nang.

I believe it. On a good day, in a well-maintained room, the Wyndham Soleil has views that the more expensive neighbours can't replicate without more height.

The warning: "partial sea view" rooms at mid-height are genuinely partial. One guest described having to crane their neck off the balcony to see a sliver of ocean.

Book high or book ocean-facing if views matter.

The Noise

There's a park directly across from the building. On weekends, events and karaoke run from the park into the late evening.

The hotel has acknowledged this. It is not going away.

If you're a light sleeper and arriving on a Friday, expect noise. Higher floors and rooms facing away from the park help.

The Breakfast

Multiple guests describe a plentiful breakfast. At least one December 2025 review mentioned live insects on food during breakfast and staff not reacting.

That's a serious hygiene complaint. Again — check current reviews before committing.

If recent reviews show this has been resolved, the breakfast spread has otherwise been described as generous and varied.

The Pool and Beach

An outdoor pool with sea views — "long and attractive" per the more positive reviews; "not very attractive" per another. Beach is a minute's walk — that part is straightforward and genuine.

The pool appears more atmospheric on quieter days and less so during peak season crowding.

What to Know Before You Book

Book high floors. Specify ocean-facing.

Check current reviews for maintenance and breakfast hygiene — both issues appeared in late 2025 and early 2026. If reviews since show improvement, the hotel has the views, the beach proximity, and staff quality to justify the rate.

If concerns persist, the Four Points Sheraton or TMS Hotel offer more reliable alternatives at similar price points on the same stretch of beach.

What's genuinely good
  • Upper floor (30+) ocean views are among the best on My Khe Beach
  • Staff quality is the most consistently praised element — warm, responsive, genuinely helpful
  • Sunrise from high floors described as unmissable
  • Beach literally a minute's walk from the entrance
  • Wyndham Rewards value for points members
What to check before booking
  • Mold and maintenance issues reported in newly opened building — verify current status
  • Weekend karaoke from the park across the street — confirmed, unavoidable on lower floors
  • Partial sea view rooms significantly underdeliver
  • Breakfast hygiene complaint from December 2025 — check if resolved

Would I Stay Again?

In a high-floor, ocean-facing room, after verifying current maintenance and hygiene reviews — possibly. The views are the real thing and the staff make it feel looked-after in ways the building itself hasn't fully earned yet.

But I'd only book it if recent reviews showed the mold and breakfast issues had been addressed. When they're resolved, this becomes a straightforwardly good hotel.

Until then, eyes open.

Is the Wyndham Soleil Danang Worth It?

The Wyndham Soleil Danang is one of the city's newer hotels and benefits from fresh design and modern room specifications. The central My Khe Beach location is strong, the pool is well-done, and Wyndham Rewards members will find useful points-earning at a beach hotel with relatively few Wyndham brand options in Da Nang.

The honest assessment is that it sits in a crowded midscale-to-upscale beach hotel category where competition is fierce, it needs to be compared against the Four Points by Sheraton, TMS Hotel, and A La Carte at similar price points. It competes well on room quality and modernity.

Where it is less differentiated is in F&B and overall resort depth. For most travellers, it represents solid value for a new-ish beachfront stay in Da Nang.

Nearby Attractions & Getting Around

One of Da Nang's advantages as a destination is how compact it is, most major attractions are within 20–30 minutes of any hotel in the city. From Wyndham Soleil Danang, key landmarks and beaches are easy to reach by taxi or GrabCar, and both services are reliable, metered, and inexpensive by international standards.
