Important: Vietnam beaches are legally public. No hotel can close a beach exclusively to guests. "Private beach" in Da Nang means a managed, dedicated hotel beach zone — which is still a meaningfully better experience than using the public beach. This guide explains what that actually looks like in practice.

Da Nang Hotels with Private Beach 2026
Which Da Nang hotels actually deliver a genuine private beach experience? The short answer: none can legally claim exclusive beach rights. The real answer: some deliver far better beach access than others.
What "Private Beach" Actually Means Here
Vietnam's beaches are public by law. The Vietnamese government does not permit hotels to exclusively close beach areas to non-guests. Any hotel marketing that implies exclusive beach ownership is technically inaccurate. What you can get, and what the best Da Nang beach hotels deliver, is something genuinely useful: a managed, dedicated stretch of beach with hotel infrastructure.
In practice, a hotel "private beach" in Da Nang delivers: dedicated sunbeds with no scrambling or chair-saving, beach waitstaff for drinks and food orders, fresh towel service, clear zone marking that separates the hotel area from the general public beach, and sometimes a beach bar or beach club setup. For most travellers, this is exactly what they wanted when they searched for a private beach hotel - the reality is just legally different from total exclusivity.
What to check when booking: Confirm that the beach area is truly direct-access from the hotel (no road crossing). Some Da Nang hotels are described as beachfront when they are across a road from the beach. A La Carte, for example, requires crossing Vo Nguyen Giap to reach My Khe Beach - that is not private beach access by any reasonable definition.
Hotels with Genuine Dedicated Beach Areas
Hyatt Regency has the most well-managed dedicated beach area of any Da Nang resort. The hotel sits directly on Non Nuoc Beach with a long stretch of hotel-managed sand, plentiful sunbeds, beach waitstaff, towel service, and a beach bar. The Non Nuoc location is quieter than My Khe Beach, which matters - the hotel beach is genuinely less crowded than equivalent-tier hotels further north.
Compared to other hotels in this guide, Hyatt Regency's beach operation is the most consistently staffed and organized. Beach service quality remains high even at peak occupancy. If a managed beach experience is central to your trip, Hyatt Regency is the clear benchmark. Also see: Hyatt's pool setup - six pools combined with the beach access makes it the strongest all-round beach resort in Da Nang.

Naman Retreat's beach area is the most intimate and quiet of any Da Nang resort. The resort sits on Non Nuoc Beach with a dedicated beachfront that reflects the overall property tone: calm, curated, unhurried. The beach area is smaller than Hyatt's but the guest-to-sunbed ratio means you'll rarely feel crowded. Waitstaff are attentive. The combination of beach access, garden setting, and one of the best spas in Da Nang (Naman Spa) makes this the strongest all-round luxury beach resort if maximum quiet is the priority.

Furama is one of the oldest and most established resort properties in Da Nang, with a well-developed garden-to-beach layout that gives direct beach access from the property. The beach area is managed with sunbeds, service, and shade structures. Furama is not as new as Hyatt Regency but the beach service is solid and the location on My Khe Beach - the main Da Nang beach strip - suits travellers who want beach access combined with proximity to city restaurants and activity. Good value relative to the scale of the property.

Sheraton Grand Da Nang has a beach club-style operation on My Khe Beach with a well-managed dedicated area, good sunbed availability, and consistent service. The hotel is directly beachfront on the northern end of the main My Khe strip. The beach operation is professional and the resort scale (five-star, large property) means beach facilities are well-resourced. For travellers wanting a familiar international brand combined with genuine direct beach access, Sheraton Grand delivers reliably.
Check Sheraton Grand on Booking.com →TIA Wellness Resort is adults-only and small, with a correspondingly intimate beach area. The Non Nuoc Beach frontage is quieter than My Khe and the all-inclusive spa philosophy means the guest profile is very calm. The beach area is smaller than Hyatt or Naman but the ratio of guests to space is low. TIA suits travellers for whom the spa is primary and beach access is a secondary benefit. Compare with Da Nang spa hotel options if the wellness angle is the main draw.

Hotels Where Beach Access Is Less Direct
A La Carte Da Nang Beach is across Vo Nguyen Giap road from My Khe Beach - it requires crossing a busy road to access the beach. It is not beachfront, despite what some OTA listings suggest. The rooftop pool is excellent but the beach access is not private or direct.
InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula is a unique case: the hotel has a spectacular private cove beach on Son Tra Peninsula, accessed by funicular from the main resort area. It is genuinely secluded and beautiful, but the funicular access means it's a different kind of beach experience - more of a destination excursion within your stay than a casual walk-out-and-swim setup.
Pullman Da Nang Beach Resort has beach access but the beach stretch it operates on is shared with more general public access than the Non Nuoc resorts. It remains a functional beachfront hotel but the managed beach area is less distinct than Hyatt Regency or Naman Retreat.
Seasonal Note: When Beach Service Drops
Beach service quality at all Da Nang hotels drops from October through November. This is typhoon season - even when the weather is manageable, beach staff are reduced and beach areas may be partially closed. Some hotels pull in their sunbeds during this period and do not fully restore them until February or March.
The best months for private beach enjoyment in Da Nang are March through September, with May through August being the peak beach season. April and September are shoulder months with good weather and slightly lower prices. If beach access is central to your trip, avoid November through February - sea conditions are rougher and beach services are inconsistent across all properties.
Non Nuoc Beach generally has calmer waves than My Khe Beach due to its more sheltered position, which is another factor in favour of Hyatt Regency and Naman Retreat for beach-focused travellers.
