What this means practically: a taxi or Grab from the airport to any hotel on My Khe Beach takes 10-15 minutes. To city centre hotels on the Han River: 8-10 minutes.
Even the furthest hotels on the northern My Khe strip are under 15 minutes at normal traffic times.
Early departure note: Any city centre or My Khe beach hotel allows you to leave at 5:30am and reach the airport in under 15 minutes - even for 6am departure check-in times. You do not need to book a "near airport" hotel for early flights.
The entire My Khe strip is effectively airport-adjacent by Vietnam standards.
