Walking In
The Pullman Danang has an open-lobby concept — the entrance looks straight through to the infinity pool, and through that to the ocean. It's a good first sight.
You arrive, you see the pool, you see the sea beyond it, and whatever travel stress you were carrying drops a notch. The lobby is deliberately airy.
On hot days, some guests migrate to the business center where the air conditioning is more aggressive, which tells you something about the trade-off — beautiful but warm.
Staff greet you with welcome drinks and take the bags. The reception team has a specific kind of warmth that doesn't feel scripted: one staff member, a guest relations manager named Ms Ny, gets mentioned by name in review after review — someone who "made guests feel like valued family members." That kind of reputation doesn't come from training manuals alone.
The Rooms
Suites are generous — one junior bedroom, one master, direct sea views from every room, proper bathtub and separate shower in the bathroom. The word "elegant" comes up often.
The room I stayed in had a bathroom that honestly made me reconsider whether I needed to go outside. The overall design is contemporary without being cold: warm neutrals, balconies that work, a bed you sink into.
Standard rooms are smaller, around 40 square metres. They're clean and functional and have balconies.
They're not the point of the Pullman — the suites are the point. If the budget allows, the upgrade makes a meaningful difference.
The Pool Situation
Here's where I'll be straight with you: the pool is smaller than you'd expect for a resort of this size. When the resort is full in peak season, sunbeds run out.
Multiple guests have mentioned this specifically — it's a recurring pattern, not a one-off. The beach directly in front is the overflow, and it's excellent, wide and clean with full service, but if you're planning to spend most of your time on a lounger at a pool, know the competition for those loungers is real in December and January.
If you have an off-peak stay, this is a non-issue. Shoulder season and the May-August period, the pool area is spacious and relaxed.
Breakfast
The breakfast buffet is large. "Biggest breakfast buffet we've ever seen" is an actual guest quote, which tells you something about the ambition.
Asian hot dishes, fruit, pastry, a good selection of everything. Some guests find it exceptional; others note that the Four Points Sheraton nearby runs a stronger breakfast — a cross-hotel comparison that keeps appearing in reviews.
This one is good. Whether it's great depends on what you're comparing it to.
What to Know Before You Book
My Khe restaurants are 5-10 minutes on foot from the front gate — seafood grills, noodle shops, good local dining within easy reach. Airport is 15 minutes.
Hoi An is 35 minutes by car. The Pullman works well as a base for exploring Da Nang without being so isolated that you need a taxi for everything.
Accor ALL members: this is a legitimate earning property at a quality level where points add up fast. If you're building status or burning points, it makes sense.
- Open-lobby view straight to the pool and sea — a good first impression
- Suite bathrooms are genuinely excellent
- Breakfast included in most rate plans
- 5-10 min walk to My Khe restaurant strip — more accessible than isolated resort properties
- Accor ALL loyalty value
- Staff consistently praised, particularly Ms Ny in guest relations
- Pool is smaller than the resort's scale suggests — sunbeds scarce in peak season
- Open lobby is beautiful but warm; guests seeking AC retreat to business center
- Design is functional rather than distinctive — no architectural showpiece
- Breakfast quality trails the nearby Four Points Sheraton according to direct comparisons
Would I Stay Again?
In a suite, yes. The Pullman gives you a reliable, well-staffed beachfront hotel with a good breakfast and easy access to the city's restaurant scene.
It's not trying to be the InterContinental or Naman Retreat, and it doesn't need to be. What it does — dependable luxury on a workable budget — it does consistently well.
That's enough.

Is the Pullman Danang Beach Resort Worth It?
The Pullman Danang Beach Resort is a good choice for beachfront accommodation with strong design credentials, but it occupies a mid-range luxury position rather than a true five-star resort tier. The beach access is excellent, the pool is well-designed, and the rooms are contemporary and comfortable.
Where it falls slightly short is in dining depth and service consistency compared to the Hyatt Regency or Sheraton Grand at similar or slightly higher rates. For Accor loyalty members and travellers who want a modern beach resort aesthetic with My Khe frontage, it is a solid pick.
Travellers prioritising the best overall resort value should compare it closely against the Sheraton Grand before booking.
