Arriving at Non Nuoc
The moment you leave the main road and the gates close behind you, something shifts. The Marriott sits on Non Nuoc Beach, and every villa you can see from the entrance path faces the water.
The Marble Mountains are visible to the southwest, five limestone formations rising abruptly from flat ground. When the light goes golden in the late afternoon they look unreal.
I stood on my villa terrace watching them change color and forgot what I was supposed to be doing.
This is Marriott International's flagship property in Da Nang, opened in 2020. It is also one of the quieter beach stretches in the city — Non Nuoc sees a fraction of the foot traffic of the main My Khe strip, and most guests staying here are precisely because of that.
The Villas
Every single one of the 200 units has a private pool. Not a shared pool.
Not a plunge tub on the balcony. A proper private swimming pool, which means you can swim in silence at 6am or midnight without working around anyone else's schedule.
The one-bedroom villas run about 100 square metres with a separate outdoor living area; the presidential options go to 500 square metres and become multi-bedroom family retreats with kitchens.
Design is contemporary Vietnamese — white render, dark timber, ceramic tiles, proper outdoor furniture that doesn't look cheap after two seasons. The indoor-outdoor flow is well done; the living space opens fully to the terrace and pool area rather than having a balcony tacked on.
Bonvoy points redemption at a property of this standard is exceptional value if you've been accumulating them.
The Beach and Pool
Non Nuoc runs directly in front of the resort and has a cleaner, quieter character than the busier sections of My Khe Beach to the north. The resort's stretch of sand has sunbeds, shade, and beach service.
Water is generally calmer here too. A central resort pool handles overflow and social swimming for guests who want that environment.
I spent two mornings in the private villa pool before breakfast and one afternoon at the beach. Both work.
The private pool is the main event — there's something about having it entirely to yourself that you don't fully appreciate until you've done it.
Eating Here
The Street Food Kitchen handles casual dining with a Vietnamese-forward menu that runs through pho, banh mi, and rice plates alongside things like bao and fresh spring rolls. The quality is solid for a hotel casual restaurant — it doesn't try to be something it isn't.
The beach bar keeps drinks and light food running through the afternoon. Breakfast is a proper spread and consistently the best-reviewed meal on-property.
The Marble Mountains are five minutes by taxi. Hoi An is 25 minutes.
If you want to eat outside the resort, both directions give you good options without much travel time.
What to Know Before You Book
You are 13 km from Da Nang city centre. That's not prohibitive — Grab runs reliably and isn't expensive — but you should know you're in resort mode, not city-base mode.
If you want to eat at street food stalls every night and wander the Han River district, you'll be in a taxi both ways. If you want to spend most of your time at your villa pool and the beach with a day trip to Hoi An built in, this is an excellent place to do that.
Bonvoy members: check points redemption rates before booking cash. This is one of the better redemptions in Vietnam at this quality level.
- Every villa has a real private pool — genuinely the main event
- Non Nuoc Beach is quieter and cleaner than the busy My Khe strip
- Marble Mountains backdrop — one of the best views from any Da Nang hotel
- Bonvoy redemption value is strong at this property tier
- Hoi An day trips are 25 minutes by car, not all-day affairs
- New enough (2020) that rooms and facilities still feel fresh
- 13 km from city — you'll need taxis for everything non-resort
- All-villa format means no entry-level room option; prices reflect this
- Dining is good but limited — three outlets is not a deep restaurant scene
- Peak season fills fast; book months out if travelling December–February
Would I Stay Again?
Yes, specifically for the private pool villa format. Da Nang has a lot of good beach hotels.
It has fewer places where you can swim laps in complete privacy at 6am with the Marble Mountains visible over your garden wall. That combination is harder to find than it sounds.

Is the Marriott Resort Da Nang Worth It?
The Marriott Resort Da Nang is one of the newer luxury additions to the My Khe Beach strip and delivers on most fronts. The design is fresh, the pool is well-executed, and the beach access is direct.
For Marriott Bonvoy members, the points earning at a resort of this standard makes it particularly appealing. The main competitive challenge is that Da Nang's upper-midscale and luxury beach resort segment is crowded, the Sheraton Grand, Hyatt Regency, and Pullman all compete in overlapping territory.
The Marriott wins on brand newness and room quality; where it loses is dining, which is competent but not distinctive. For a reliable luxury beachfront stay with Bonvoy benefits, it is worth it.
Nearby Attractions & Getting Around
One of Da Nang's advantages as a destination is how compact it is, most major attractions are within 20–30 minutes of any hotel in the city. From Marriott Resort Da Nang, key landmarks and beaches are easy to reach by taxi or GrabCar, and both services are reliable, metered, and inexpensive by international standards.
- My Khe Beach, On-site. Direct beachfront on Da Nang's premier ocean stretch.
- Dragon Bridge, 15 min taxi. Da Nang's most iconic structure, weekend fire show not to be missed.
